Love vs. Lust: Romeo and Juliet are obsessed, infatuated, out of control, and irrational. Sounds like lust to me

Romeo and Juliet is a play based on strong bonding love that the characters feel between each other. Most people forget that the play only spans a few days. Their relationship from start to their death wasn’t even a week long.  This 'love' Shakespeare portrays between the characters appears to be more like lust than love. Throughout the characters are obsessed and irrational with each other. For example, in Act 1 scene 5 from lines 90 to 107 Romeo and Juliet have only just met and they have fallen in love, have kissed twice already and have planned to meet again in secret. All in the space of say 5 minutes they met and then love each other, willing to die for them. This is not really love, love is so much more, it’s the connection and history you have with a person. Their quirks and personality which only you can see a different side to. The way Shakespeare has written Romeo and Juliet's love really is the picture of lust and the ignorance of teens when it comes to love.
